Advantages of RCF system
versus traditional FCU system









1.Operating cost saving >45% compared to FCU system

This technology is able to create >45% savings  based on the followings principle;
a.The normal FCU system need to operate the fan motor to create air heat-exchange through the cooling coil. Followed by a re-circulation process of around 8 air change hourly to condition the space.  Whereas, in the process of RCF is from object directly to the chilled panel. This savings is >15%.b. The radiation process is the speed of the light. The efficiency is much higher than the air temperature transfer through air. This will create another savings of >15%c.According to ASHRAE in the comment of radiant technology, there will be a delta of 2oC comparing to the normal air system. 1oC is equivalent to 11% savings

2. Quiet as there is no fan motor and air sound.

(The room height can be reduced by 300mm. As such, the ceiling height can be higher to      improved the aesthetic finishes

3. Good uniformity in temperature control even is near to the glass window during extreme summer and winter season.

4. The FA will be treated by the MAU before distributed to individual room based on the room C02 and RH requirements.

5. The room will be always maintain at positive pressure to prevent any infiltration and cross-contamination. (The damper @ 10% openings even is the RCF system is off.)

6. No condensation at panel surface even @ 7oC water inlet due to the dual radiant technology and cooling coil designed at the MAU system

7. System can be designed in both cooling and heating mode.    This mean users can have the option to select during season changing period.

8. The control system for RCF system is much more simple compared to the air system as this a 2 pipes compared to the 4 pipes system for the FCU. (This will also reduced the piping work by around 40%.)

9. More hygienic as there is no FCU and ducting work.    This are the area where a lot of germs and bacteria is easily formed and difficult to clean up.

10. No maintenance for the RCF system is required.      (The life-span of the RCF system is >50years and the other wear and tear parts are easily find in the market)
